Monitoring a site is one part of running it

A remote site asks three things of an operator: know what is happening there, be able to act on it, and reach the people who have to attend. Sentor covers the first two. The systems below cover the rest of the picture, and several of them are already used alongside Sentor.

Sense and control

Sentor reads power, temperature, transmitter output, levels, doors and access at the site, decides what to do using logic stored on the controller, and switches equipment — with or without a working connection back to base.

Automate and present

Site and building automation platforms take those readings across many sites and turn them into dashboards, schedules and portfolio-level automation.

Reach the people

Two-way radio and push-to-talk connect the technicians, contractors and security staff who actually attend the site once something needs hands on it.

The value of putting them together is not technical elegance — it is that the gap between a fault occurring and someone competent standing in front of it gets shorter. Sentor shortens the detection half. Communications shorten the response half.

Site and building automation

ThinkBoxx

ThinkBoxx adds a cloud automation and dashboard layer over lighting, HVAC, energy, access control, fuel tank and environmental monitoring, across homes, commercial buildings, farms, tower sites and oil and gas facilities. Where Sentor is the controller that senses and switches at the site, ThinkBoxx is the layer that presents and automates across a portfolio of them.

Alongside Sentor. A site keeps Sentor’s on-board scenario logic, which runs whether or not anything upstream is reachable, and gains a portfolio-level view and automation on top of it.

ThinkBoxx states that its AI-IoT platform integrates with Sentor remote control systems, and with Clipsal C-Bus.

Push-to-talk over cellular

Ozitel Networks

Ozitel provides push-to-talk over 4G, 5G and WiFi — handheld and vehicle radios, body cameras, and a web dispatch console with GPS tracking, emergency SOS and AES-256 encryption, across Telstra, Optus and Vodafone.

Alongside Sentor. Sentor knows a site has a fault. Ozitel is how the person who has to fix it is reached, tracked to the site, and kept in contact once there — including at sites where there is no other coverage.

Ozitel’s dispatch console references Sentor as part of an integrated communication environment covering PTT and DMR fleets.

Two-way radio hardware

Delta Radio Group

Analogue and digital handhelds, PTT and WiFi-capable radios, plus antennas, batteries, chargers and audio accessories, supplied through a dealer network into construction, mining, security, logistics and industrial operations.

Alongside Sentor. The crews who attend monitored sites need to talk to each other on the ground. Radio hardware and site monitoring are separate systems solving adjacent halves of the same operational problem.

Where one of them states an integration with Sentor, that is said plainly and attributed. Where no integration is claimed, none is implied — the systems are simply complementary parts of running a remote site. Before you specify anything on the assumption that two of these products talk to each other, ask us and we will confirm it for your configuration rather than let you find out on site.
